Deadline Extended to Submit Papers for ITS America's 2009 Annual Meeting & Exposition
WASHINGTON, DC, Jan. 26, 2009 - Have you or your colleagues
submitted your Technical or Scientific paper yet? Papers will be
accepted through Jan. 30 for the Intelligent Transportation Society
of America's 2009 Annual Meeting and Exposition, June 1-3, 2009 in
National Harbor, Maryland, just outside of our nation's
capital.
The Washington area location and timing of ITS America's 2009
Annual Meeting will make this a "can't miss" event. The new
Administration will be in place, and will likely be establishing
new priorities and initiatives for the U.S. DOT's ITS Program.
Congress will be in the process of crafting the next surface
transportation bill - legislation that is likely to not only
significantly impact ITS, but also the future of our nation's
surface transportation system. As a result, we expect a significant
Federal and Congressional participation in this meeting.
Papers must be original and should report on recent
significant and substantial achievements and results, reflecting
the theme, "Moving America Forward." Papers submitted for the
Intelligent Transportation Society of America's 2009 Annual Meeting
and Exposition and presentations made at the 2009 Annual Meeting
will be posted to the ITS America Website and available on CD-ROM
following the meeting, allowing all Annual Meeting attendees to
obtain copies of papers and presentations.
The quality of ITS America's Annual Meetings is unparalleled.
We select papers that further the discussion about state-of-the-art
transportation technologies or offer a fresh outlook on the policy,
financial, economic, or social implication of deploying
transportation technologies. If your paper is selected, it is
because we believe the paper discusses innovative technology,
presents novel analysis of technical or policy issues, or proposes
solutions to potential hurdles to deployment of technologies.
